Chief Mechanical & Design Engineering – Takoma Park, MD
Research/design/test/implement mechanical engineering applications for the state-of-the-art medical device such as electrosurgical generator, laparoscopic robot, etc.; Design 3D CAD models of mechanical parts using SolidWorks/Creo; Produce detailed drafting of product and assembly drawings following Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME standard; Construct prototypes and perform mechanical and environmental simulation testing, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA); Conduct Product Data Management (EPDM) and manage/collaborate on product development; Provide process/equipment engineering support and resolve technical issues to manufacturing partners and vendors for product transfers; Assist regulatory department in verification/validation protocols, including IQ/OQ/PQ and ensure that products comply with FDA/UL/ISO, and other regulations/standards; Develop and support GMP compliant manufacturing facilities, generate documentation/SOPs and perform risk analysis based on ISO quality system requirements/standards. Req: Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Sound knowledge of machine design, materials, statics, mechanical vibrations and Stress (Strain); Strong Robotic/Electromechanical Control System design skills; Understanding of GD&T per ASME standard; Proficient in 3D Modeling Software (Solidworks/Creo) & FEA and CFD tools (Solidworks Simulation/ANSYS).
