A virus can’t reproduce on its own – it requires a host cell
Cold Plasma beam creates a “cocktail” of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS)

Viruses can’t reproduce on their own. Instead they “highjack” a host cell to use as a biological “factory” to introduce instructions to replicate more of the virus.

These instructions are in the form of RNA in the body of the virus (Capsid) which is surrounded by a protein shell and a lipid membrane known as the protective envelope.

Application of the non-thermal Helios Cold Plasma spray process generates a series of chemicals known as Reactive Oxygen and Reactive Nitrogen Species (ROS, RNS).

Exposure of the virus to these chemicals triggers lipid and protein peroxidation breaking down the outer layer and crosslinking of the RNA, disabling it from replicating.
